Summary: The Healthcare Insurance Specialist is responsible for A/R resolution from insurance companies, Gov’t and commercial. Identifies payor trends proactively in relation to zero payment, payment variance, billing, and denials. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Knowledge of third-party requirements and policies, including Medicaid, MedicareFamiliar with medical terminologyMust be able to meet department/individual goalsNavigates multiple software applications (RelayHealth ePremis, AllScripts, etc.) on a daily basisEducation: High school diploma, some college preferred. Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process.
